Nov 12, 2014 (K R Kettles) - The presence of aluminosilicate minerals indicates sodium depletion. GEOPHYSICS: A strong EM conductor coinciding with a strong mag anomaly of over 10,000 gamma relief is located to the SW of the occurrence.

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The occurrence is underlain by mafic volcanics. The strike to the northeast and dip subvertically. The yahve been intensley altered and contain considerable amounts of andalusite (?) garnet and occasional perfect crystals of calcite. Gold mineralization occurrs in qv's. Quartz Veins #4, #5, and #6 all strike NW-SE. Vein 4 is approx. 15 m long and 1.2 m wide, Vein 5 is exposed for 45 m and is an average of 0.9 m wide, Vein 6 is approx. 15 m long and 1.2 m wide.

Nov 12, 2014 (K R Kettles) - Chip sample collected from veins 4 and 5 in 1937, returned assays of up to 0.10 oz/ton (3.43 g/tonne) Au, and up to 0.08 (2.74 g/tonne) respectively. Vein 6 returned only trace values of gold. A borehole drilled to intersect the veins #4 and #5 returned assays of up to 0.08 oz/tonne, (2.74g/tonne) Au. Assays from drilling completed in 1937 returned gold values up to 0.08 oz/t Au. A drill hole completed in 1984 returned an assay of 0.05 oz/t Au, 3.35 oz/t Ag, 4.72% Cu, 0.08% Zn.
Jul 30, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - In order to examine this brecciated rock at surface, Bluestack dug three trenches 200 feet apart and stripped a considerable area. The mineralization consisted of magnetite, pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite, considerably brecciated and occurring in a highly altered zone of chlorite, epidote and garnet alteration. Values ranged up to 0.08 oz/t Au, 3.58 oz/t Ag, and 1.9% Cu (Assessment report 52N04NW0012). Basal till samples collected in 1983 returned values of up to 5900 ppm Cu (Assessment report 52N04NW0012). Luxor’s Trench 1 returned up to 0.017 oz/t Au, 0.26 oz/t Ag, and 0.17% Cu over 4.7 feet from an iron formation with pyrite, chalcopyrite, and pyrrhotite. Trench 2 returned up to 0.088 oz/t Au, 2.15 oz/t Ag, and 0.47% Cu over 3.5 feet from the garnetiferous epidotic alteration zone with cobbles of magnetite, pyrite, and arsenopyrite. Trench 3 returned up to 0.009 oz/t Au, 3.58 oz/t Ag, and 0.87% Cu over 5 feet from the alteration zone (Assessment report 52N04NW0018).
Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - Considerable amounts of andalusite, garnet and calcite occur in the mafic volcanics in the vicinty of the quartz veins.
Mono - Gold occurrences, prospects, and deposits of the Red Lake area, volumes 1 and 2
