Mineralization Comments

Jul 26, 2019 (A McKee) - Grade 1974 DDH BU-3-74: at 170 ft, section assays 0.08 opt Au and 0.11% Cu/5 ft. 2010: No significant assays reported.

Jul 26, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - Sulphide mineralization is predominantly associated with the metasedimentary unit between the mafic and felsic volcanics and locally within the felsics. The original Guest Occurrence consisted of the North showing (12-13 N, 160-170 W, on the grid) and the South showing centred on 10+50 N, 157 W on the grid. The highest recorded results from these showings are as follows: grab sample of 0.9 ounces per ton Au (Noranda); diamond drilling - 0.11% Cu and 0.08 oz/t Au across 5 ft. (St. Joe). Labrador Exploration drilled 2 DDH in the area near St. Joe hole BU-3-74. The best assays were 0.22 and 0.08 oz/t Au. This area contains a tuff with up to 30% sulphides (predominantly pyrite and pyrrhotite. The 0.22 oz/t Au over 1 foot assay was from a quartz vein with massive sulphides in a mafic tuff host (Assessment file 52N07NE0001). Sampling by R. Hodgson in 1992 returned up to 0.27 opt Au (8.40 g/t Au) (Assessment file 52N07SE9919). The best sample taken in 2011 from the North Showing was sample Z079077 that assayed 18.37 ppm Au and 8330 ppm Cu hosted in a quartz+carbonate+magnetite+ sulpide (pyrite+chalcopyrite+/-pyrrhotite) vein (Assessment file 20000007338). The North Zone is hosted within the Grace Lake Deformation Zone. Mineralization at the North Showing occurs north of a sheared contact between intermediate to mafic volcanics in the south and intermediate - felsic volcanics to the north. Mineralization is described as pyrite-magnetite-chalcopyrite quartz veined shear zone within a 10 x 25 meter outcrop of east-trending, foliated, chloritic intermediate volcanic rocks. Mineralized samples collected are described as quartz-chalcopyrite veins, with <1% magnetite-pyrite-chalcopyrite, variably altered to carbonate, and chlorite. The mineralized quartz veins occur as infillings of dilational jogs within a shear zone. The dilational jogs are located where shearing crosscuts foliation at a shallow angle. Magnetite also is noted as semi-massive pods in mafic-intermediate volcanic host. Chip sample 347660 returned 1.15 g/t Au, 12.15 ppm Ag, and 4430 ppm Cu (Assessment report 52N08SW2002). DDH SWL22-001 returned 0.64 g/t Au over 5.64 m including 4.59 g/t Au over 0.5 m (First Mining Gold news release June 21, 2023).
