Mineralization Comments

Aug 13, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - Chalcopyrite occurs in a share zone in biotitic metasediments along the western shore of Shabu Lake. The mineralized zone trends N30W, dips vertically and ranges from 3.5 to 6 feet (1.1 to 1.8 m) in width. At the main showing, which has been trenched, the zone is exposed over a length of 68 feet (20.7 m). Trace amounts of chalcopyrite also occur in minor shear zones to the south of the main showing for a distance of about 1000 feet (300 m). A grab sample taken by OGS staff member A.P. Pryslak returned 0.85% Cu and 1.32 oz/t Ag. The zone intersected by drilling contained 0.24% Cu and 0.41 opt Ag over a 1.2 m intersection. Two other shear zones containing minor amounts of pyrite and chalcopyrite were intersected by the drilling: a 1.5 foot (0.45 m) intersection contained 0.13% Cu and a 3 foot (0.9 m) intersection contained approximately 2% pyrite and minor chalcopyrite (Pryslak, 1974).
