Access Description: Located approx. 70 km NE of Red Lake with access by float-equipped aircraft to Shabu Lake.



Exploration History

1967: Madsen Red Lake Gold Mines conducted a winter ground magnetometer and EM survey and drilled 6 diamond drill holes (Shabu #1 and #2, and #5 to #8) for 653.8 m. 2010: Big Bear performed reconnaissance work in the Shabu Lake area but no recorded work performed over this prospect.

Mineralization Comments

Aug 13, 2020 (Bill Paterson) - Massive pyrrhotite with pyrite and chalcopyrite are reported from drill logs and are found in crystalline limestones and siliceous cherty horizons and altered dacitic rocks and narrow dioritic dykes. No assays results were reported (Assessment report 52N07SW0007).
