1946: H.C. Hanson discovered gold and trenched the area. 1947: McKenzie Red Lake Gold Mines completed 9 DDH totalling 977 m. 1969-70: Hudson Bay Oil and Gas Co. Inc. completed airborne EM, magnetic and gamma-ray spectrometer surveys; ground EM and magnetic surveys, soil geochemical survey, and trenching. 1974: Mid-North Engineering Services Inc. completed stripping, trenching and a ground magnetic survey. 1984: Kidd Creek Mines Inc. completed airborne magnetic and EM survey, and 8 DDH totalling 509.8 m. 1990: Noranda Exploration Co. Inc. completed geological mapping and humus sampling. 2006: Malahat Capital corporation completed an IP survey.
