1971: Union Miniere Explorations and Mining Corporation Limited commissioned airborne magnetometer and electromagnetic surveys over a large part of the Central Uchi greenstone belt, including the area of this occurrence. 1984: Golden Maverick Resources Ltd. commissioned another airborne magnetometer and electromagnetic surveys which covered an area including the Matapesatakun Bay #2 occurrence. This was followed up with geological mapping, and rock and soil geochemistry. 1985: Golden Terrace Resources Corporation performed diamond-drilling to the southwest of the occurrence. 1988: Bond Gold Canada Inc. did geological mapping, and ground magnetometer and electromagnetic surveys over their Jewett Lake Joint Venture property. The gold occurrence was discovered at this time. 1988 and 1990: Bond Gold Canada Inc. completed 9 diamond-drill holes on the property. 1996: Moss Resources - 8 DDH totalling 808.3 m. 2009: Tri Origin Exploration completed an AEM survey. 2010: Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. staked an addition 5 claims (76 units) and completed a mineral soil/humus and a small mapping and rock geochemistry surveys over sections of the claim group with anomalous VTEM data from the Aeroquest survey flown in 2009. 2011: Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. completed cutting of a 39.3 line kilometer grid, staked additional contiguous claims to the east and optioned two claims from Manicouagan Minerals Inc completing a soil/humus survey over them. Over the cut grid 15.8 km of detailed Induced Polarization and 39.3 km of Total Field Magnetics were completed. 2012: Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. completed a mineral soil and humus sample survey on portions of the property. A total of 346 humus and 433 mineral samples were collected plus a 7 hole diamond drill program totaling 1180 m. 2015: Tri completed outcrop mapping, linecutting, an IP survey and completed an additional (73 soil, 127 humus) geochemical survey.
