Mineralization Comments

Feb 08, 2007 (Mark Puumala) - Wallace (1985) indicates that the Tivy occurrence is hosted within an east-trending quartz vein. The vein occurs in a shear zone that parallels the contact between mafic metavolcanic rocks and a sill-like body of trondhjemite. The vein is of variable width (up to 2 m), but is typically less than 50 cm wide and is mineralized with pyrite, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite and galena. The most notable assay reported from this occurrence was 0.15 oz/ton Au (Harding 1935).

Sep 01, 2022 (Q Unknown) - 1935 surface samples: up to 0.5 opt Au reported. 1971 - 4 DDHs: no assay values reported, tr. Cu, Zn only.
