Feb 07, 2007 (Mark Puumala) - This occurrence is based on a number of anomalous gold assays reported in Dome Exploration ddh 172-134 (AFRO# 52O08NE0054). The dominant lithologies recorded on the drill hole log were felsic metavolcanics described as rhyolite tuff and rhyolite lapilli tuff agglomerate. Gold assays exceeding 1.0 g/t were reported in sections logged as massive pyrite (2) and rhyolite tuff (3). The mineralized sections of rhyolite tuff were reported to be associated with iron formation material and contained pyrite (up to 10%), pyrrhotite (1%) and minor magnetite. The most significant reported assay was 5.48 g/t Au over 1.0 m in rhyolite tuff.
