Mineralization Comments

Dec 28, 2006 (Mark Puumala) - The CP-42 Zone is reported by Evoy (1988) to be located on the north flank of the Hooker-Burkoski Stock. Lithologies in this area include Silicified tuff, sheared feldspar porphyry and minor amounts of sulphidized banded iron formation and volcanics. An assay of 0.04 oz/ton Au has been reported from a 0.76 m section of sheared and quartz-carbonate flooded volcanics in ddh CP-88-42. Similar mineralization (0.06 oz/ton Au over 1.43 m in sheared and altered intermediate tuff breccia) was reported in a nearby diamond drill hole (CPE-5) advanced in this area in 1984 by North American Mining Exploration (Scodnick 1985).
