Mineralization Comments

Feb 06, 2007 (Mark Puumala) - This deposit is described by Sage and Breaks (1982) as a small lensoidal, predominantly ultramafic body (with local gabbroic phases) having dimensions of 580 m by 210 m. This intrusion is hosted within amphibolitized mafic metavolcanic rocks. Mineralization occurs in the gabbroic phase portion of the intrusion (dimensions of 580 m by 90 m) and consists of disseminated chalcopyrite, pyrite and nickeliferous pyrrhotite. Sage and Breaks (1982) report that a representative core section through the deposit averaged 0.50% Cu and 0.25% Ni over 30 m.
