Mineralization Comments

Dec 21, 2006 (Mark Puumala) - The A-2 Occurrence is based on the reported intersection of anomalous gold values in two diamond drill holes (A-1 and A-2) that were drilled at this location by Crowshore Patricia Gold Mines in 1948. The diamond drill hole logs indicate that the anomalous gold values occurred in cherty, sulphidized iron formation (AFRI# 52O09SE0404). The most favourable reported assay was 0.18 oz/ton Au over 0.37 m from ddh A-2. An anomalous assay of 4.08 g/t was reported from a diamond drill hole (249-1) advanced in the same area by Dome Exploration in 1985, however, a second analysis of this sample only returned trace quantities of gold. Hodge (1981) reports a single diamond drill intersection of 0.22 oz/ton Au over 1.1 m in Gallant Gold Mines ddh G-P-81-6. This gold mineralization was reported from a section consisting of sulphidized iron formation and quartz. The iron formation was reported to contain over 30% sulphides, including pyrrhotite, arsenopyrite (2-3%), sphalerite (1%), and chalcopyrite (<1%), while the quartz vein was reported to contain 20% sulphides.
