Aug 28, 2019 (Mark Puumala) - This occurrence is described by Elliott and Corkery (1988) as a zone of narrow gossans with chert horizons, lean banded iron formation and mafic flows. This zone is hosted within the mafic metavolcanic rock-dominated South Rim unit of the McGruer assemblage (Thurston, Osmani and Stone 1991). The mineralized zones are weakly-sheared, have variable trends (between 140 and 180 degrees azimuth), and contain narrow carbonate veinlets and trace to 1% pyrite. The most notable assay reported by Elliott and Corkery (1988) was a grab sample value of 1745 ppb Au (Assessment report 53B09NW0004).
