Sep 11, 2019 (Mark Puumala) - Timoshenko (1988) described the L-2 showing as a 30 to 60 cm wide quartz vein system hosted within mafic metavolcanics. The vein system is near-vertical, strikes 020, and is traceable over a strike length of 60 m. The chloritized west wall of the vein is mineralized with chalcopyrite and pyrite. Mapping by Hodge (1982) indicates that the host rock forms a narrow (approximately 125 m wide) 020-striking unit that is bounded to the west by a pegmatite dike, and to the east by a major granitic intrusion. Timoshenko reported that the most notable assays obtained from this zone were 3.6% Cu and 0.034 oz/ton Au (1.135 ppm Au) during a 1982 exploration program carried out by 498217 Ontario Ltd. (Hodge 1982).
