Nov 05, 2007 (Mark Puumala) - Baker (1968), who refers to this showing as Discovery No. 3, indicates that it is a sulphide-mineralized zone that parallels the contact between metavolcanic and metasedimentary rock units. The occurrence is located approximately 300 m west of the south end of Findlay Lake, varies in width from 0.3 to 45 m and is part of a mineralized zone that covers an approximate north-south strike length of 4 km. Mineralization is reported to consist of pyrrhotite, magnetite, pyrite and some chalcopyrite. Diamond drill hole logs for drill holes (ddh numbers 1 and 2) advanced at this occurrence by Asbestos Corporation (assessment file RL 1968 53C/SW #1) indicate that the mineralization consists of narrow stringers. Assay results from diamond drill hole No. 1 indicated up to 0.05% Cu and 0.07% Ni.
