Mineralization Comments

Oct 31, 2007 (Mark Puumala) - Ayres (1972a) describes this occurrence as a 30 cm wide quartz vein mineralized with disseminated pyrite and chalcopyrite. The quartz vein is reported to be hosted within felsic metavolcanics. North-northwest-striking gabbro dikes have been mapped by Ayres (1972a) immediately to the east and west of this occurrence. The occurrence is located approximately 300 m north of an east-southeast-striking fault zone. A grab sample collected from this vein was reported by Ayres (1972a) to have assayed 0.47% Cu and 0.04 oz/ton Au.
