Mineralization Comments

Nov 23, 2011 (Mark Puumala) - Stone and Good (1990) describe this occurrence as consisting of chalcopyrite and molybdenite hosted in north-trending fractures within tonalite and granodiorite. The fractures are reported to typically be approximately 5 mm wide and are exposed in a limited area. Muloin and Blais (1981) report that a copper assay of 7% was obtained from a sample collected from this showing. The original MDI record for this occurrence also indicates that grab sample assays of 1-2% Cu and 283 ppb Au were reported for this occurrence in 1982. However, a reference for these assay results could not be found.
