Location Method: Data Compilation

Access Description: 225 km North of Red Lake and 70 km SE of the Manitoba-Ontario boundry. Sandy Lake settlement is 7 km north, served by regular airline flights.



Exploration History

1936-37: Showing was trenched and sampled. 1988: Goldeye Explorations Ltd. conducted trenching and sampling. 2013: Goldeye Explorations Ltd. conducted mapping, sampling, and IP, resistivity and magnetic geophysical surveys. 2015: GPM Metals Inc. signed an option agreement and contracted an airborne mag and VTEM geophysical survey. 2016: Treasury Metals acquired Goldeye.

Mineralization Comments

Aug 16, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - An old trench at the west end of the lake exposes 1.0-1.5 m of green, mafic tuff, 50 crn of grey to pink quartz vein and some fuchsite, hosted in quartz-crystal tuff. Sample 3895, taken in pyritic mafic tuff and quartz vein material, assayed 905 ppb Au (Assessment report 20000005727). Samples collected during the 2013 program returned assays up to 1460 and 5620 ppb Au (Assessment report 20000008751).
