Information section. Deep and shallow lake sediment and water chemistry and related quality assurance and quality control data are released in conjunction with Open File Report 6281. Field work was completed during the summer of 2009 centred approximately on the village of Mine Centre. Deep and shallow lake sediment and water samples were collected from most of 1726 sites visited and analyzed by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) (deep sediment only), inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES), inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and ion chromatography (IC) (water only) for more than 50 elements. This digital product contains the whole geochemical data set for the Mine Centre survey area and is released separately from the report (Open File Report 6281), which contains a subset of the geochemical data set, preliminary data interpretation, and discussion of the data.Additional information and metadata are found within a readme file provided with the product. was undertaken to determine geochemical and limnological
variations in the surficial environment, to provide a data set and/or data
products useful for the public good, including such applications as mineral
